This Wednesday at 8 est we celebrate my favorite Kaiju and friend to children, GAMERA! Gamera is a prehistoric turtle that can fly around with fiery jets! How can that not be awesome?
Gamera the Invincible (1966)
An atomic explosion awakens Gammera (they spelled it like this back then)--a giant, fire-breathing turtle monster--from his millions of years of hibernation. Enraged at being roused from such a sound sleep, he takes it out on Tokyo.
Attack of the Monsters (1969)
Also called Gamera vs. Guiron Aliens kidnap two children and take them to another planet in an attempt to lure Gamera into fighting the fierce monster, Guiron.
Come down this Wednesday, it will be quite interesting.
