Okay, slightly emo title aside, I seriously wonder if there's anyone who read what I read. And I read a lot. And I have weird tastes, so let's go:
Mysterious Girlfriend X: Okay, weird just about fits to describe this little gem. Boring run-of-the-mill MC Akira Tsubaki tastes the drool of transfer student and certified freak (though a more subtle one) Mikoto Urabe, because… he felt like it (yeah, very run of the mill indeed). Nothing happens until he passes out with high fever. Then Urabe visits and kindly explains that he is addicted to her… drool. Which is apparently sweet. Now he must basically lick her finger everyday. They become a couple eventually and explore intimacy in the most roundabout way possible. Let's see: Before the first kiss we got excessive finger licking, a first mammary, first ear lick, nekomimi fetishes and some weird trust game were she gets naked while he must sit their with his eyes closed… and they don't even hold hands. Along with the lack of enraging physical violence, the probably coolest, detailed dreamscapes ever and Urabe as a master of shears (seriously dangerous that gal), this series is ecchi which isn't really raunchy, at the cost of being weird, which is a value in itself, and is therefore, pretty memorable.
Me and The Devil Blues: Before I mini-review everything here, I'll just keep it short. Blues legend Richard Johnson sells his soul to the devil for his skills, loses everything, goes wandering, meets Clyde Barrow, must survive a lot of racist psychos while beoming more and more inhuman due to his Faustian Deal. Suoerdetailed and realistic art, a intense plot and supreme Horror, if you can forgive the slow start.
Drifters: Kouta Hirano of Hellsing fame packs a bunch of historical figures together in a battle of good and evil, just that these characters are beyond good and evil. Including Oda Nobunaga, Billy the Kid, Scipio and Hannibal, Joan of Arc, Rasputin and Anastasia. You get culture clash, character development and Adolf Hitler as a national hero (god I laughed so hard at that part).
Billy Bat: It's by Naoki Urasawa. Need I say more? NEED I SAY MORE? Okay then… it's awesome.
This is taking too long…
here is more unknown aesome stuff:
